Jodie Whittaker will officially bid farewell to the TARDIS this month, and a new trailer gives us a final, proper look at The Power of the Doctor.

Those will include not only Sacha Dhawan returning as The Master, but also Ashad (Patrick O’Kane), aka. Lone Cyberman, other Cybermen and (of course) the Daleks.
Helping the Doctor will not only be Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop), but also Vinder (Jacob Anderson) and Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) plus the return of two former Classic Doctor Who companions: Tegan Jovanka (Janet Fielding) and Sophie Aldred (Ace).
They’ll be teaming up on 23rd October, when the episode will air at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Jamie Magnus Stone will direct from a script by departing showrunner Chris Chibnall. It will be the third of three specials in what is a farewell lap for Chibnall and Whittaker before they both step away from the TARDIS. The first of those aired on New Year’s Day, with the Eve of the Daleks placing the Doctor and her fam in a time-looping fight against the Daleks. The second was Legend of the Sea Devils, which aired last night followed by the new trailer.

2nd January 2022
Doctor Who will officially return in the spring to tell the Legend of the Sea Devils.
Following the finale of Doctor Who: Flux, The Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and friends Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) are set to embark on three more voyages in the TARDIS, before Whittaker’s Doctor bids farewell, along with showrunner Chris Chibnall.
The first of those aired on New Year’s Day, with the Eve of the Daleks placing the Doctor and her fam in a time-looping fight against the Daleks. Will the Doctor, Yaz and Dan emerge from this swashbuckling battle with the Sea Devils to save the planet?

Eve of the Daleks: Doctor Who unveils trailer for New Year’s special
5th December 2021
One of the Doctor’s most feared nemeses will be back on our screens this New Year’s Day as Doctor Who returns for a special episode, entitled Eve of the Daleks.
Following the finale of Doctor Who: Flux, The Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and friends Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop), will kick-start 2022 with the new episode, which is the first of three specials featuring Whittaker before she steps out of the TARDIS for good.
Eve of the Daleks will also feature guest stars Aisling Bea (This Way Up, Living With Yourself, Quiz), Adjani Salmon (Dreaming Whilst Black, Enterprice) and Pauline McLynn (Father Ted, Shameless). Sarah (Aisling Bea) owns and runs ELF storage, and Nick (Adjani Salmon) is a customer who visits his unit every year on New Year’s Eve. This year, however, their night turns out to be a little different than planned as they find themselves joining forces with the Doctor, Dan and Yaz in a fight against the Daleks.
Stuck in a time loop, will they manage to avoid extermination and escape the storage facility in time to see out New Year’s Day?
Chris Chibnall, Showrunner, says: “We all need a little romance in our lives around New Year. Less so, Daleks. But Aisling Bea and Adjani Salmon’s characters will have to deal with both in a New Year’s Eve from hell. Together with Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor, it’ll hopefully prove the perfect New Year’s Day tonic.”
