Trailer: Luke Evans stars in Apple’s Echo 3

Luke Evans is heading to Apple TV+ this November for thriller Echo 3, and a new trailer gives us a first look at the Mark Boal series.
Boal, whose CV includes The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, is showrunner on the project, which is based on the series When Heroes Fly, created by Omri Givon, and inspired by the novel by Amir Gutfreund.
Set in South America with English and Spanish dialogue, the 10-episode thriller follows Amber Chesborough (Jessica Ann Collins), a brilliant young scientist who is the emotional heart of a small American family. When Amber goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border, her brother, Bambi (Luke Evans), and her husband, Prince (Michiel Huisman) — two men with deep military experience and complicated pasts — struggle to find her. Echo 3 also stars Martina Gusmán as Violeta, a prominent political columnist, James Udom, Maria Del Rosario, Alejandro Furth, Juan Pablo Raba and special guest star Bradley Whitford.
The series is produced by Keshet Studios, the US production arm of Keshet International, with Boal serving as director and as executive producer alongside Keshet Studios’ Peter Traugott, Jason Horwitch, Omri Givon, Eitan Mansuri, Jonathan Doweck, Mark Sourian, Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman and Karni Ziv. Pablo Trapero has also directed four episodes, including the pilot, and serves as an executive producer.
The first three episodes will premiere on Apple TV+ on Wednesday 23rd November, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday. Here’s the trailer:

Luke Evans will star in Apple TV+ thriller Echo 3.
Written by Academy Award-winning producer and writer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty), the 10-part series follows Amber Chesborough, a brilliant young scientist who is the emotional center of a small American family. Based on the award-winning Keshet Broadcasting series When Heroes Fly, created by Omri Givon and inspired by the eponymous novel by Amir Gutfreund, Echo 3 will be shot with English and Spanish dialogue.
Now, we now one of the people set to be doing the talking, with Evans to play Bambi, Amber’s brother.
Evans is no stranger to streaming, with his next screen role taking the form of The Coachman in Disney+’s live-action Pinocchio. He was more recently seen in ITV’s The Pembrokeshire Murders and The Alienist, available on Netflix in the UK.
Echo 3 marks the second straight-to-series order from Apple and one of Keshet International’s production arms, joining Suspicion, starring Uma Thurman, based on the series False Flag.

Apple has given a straight-to-series order for Echo 3, a new action-thriller written by Academy Award-winning producer and writer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty).

Boal will serve as showrunner, alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Jason Horwitch (Berlin Station, House of Cards).
The series will be produced by Apple and Keshet Studios, with Keshet Studios’ Peter Traugott serving as executive producer alongside Boal, Horwitch, Stan Wlodkowski, Omri Givon, Eitan Mansuri, Jonathan Doweck, Avi Nir (Keshet Media Group), Alon Shtruzman (Keshet International) and Karni Ziv (Keshet Broadcasting).
This marks the second straight-to-series order from Apple and one of Keshet International’s production arms, following Suspicion, Keshet Productions’ new drama starring Uma Thurman and based on Amit Cohen and Maria Feldman’s award-winning Israeli series False Flag.
