DC FanDome 2021: What it is and how to watch

DC is heading back into the FanDome this weekend, as it once again looks to bring fans together online for a special preview event.
After its successful experiment with the digital convention last year, which stretched over a weekend, DC is opting for a one-day-only event. Also changes is the venue: rather than host FanDome on its own virtual platform, DC will be streaming on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and other platforms, as well as DCFanDome.com.
The free, global livestream will showcase the comic giant’s biggest movies, games, shows, comics and more, featuring exclusive reveals, behind-the-scenes looks and fan celebrations. While the line-up and schedule have been kept under wraps, most notable this year is the expectation of a first full trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, which debuted a new poster and teaser this week, plus likely sneak peeks at other titles such as Black Adam, Shazam and Aquaman, as well as the long-delayed The Flash film.
In the UK, it will kick off at 6pm and run for approximately three and a half hours. The livestream will be subtitled in 12 languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Traditional Chinese.
