HBO Max has renewed Titans for a fourth season.
The action-packed, live-action series follows Dick, who emerges from the shadows to lead a band of new heroes – including Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and others. The series follows this group of young heroes as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the iconic Teen Titans franchise. In the first season, Dick met Rachel Roth aka Raven (Teagan Croft), a young girl with special abilities brought on by a mysterious darkness inside of her that she struggled to control, and together, they found themselves embroiled in a conspiracy to bring about Hell on Earth. Joined by the mysterious Kory Anders aka Starfire (Anna Diop) and loveable Gar Logan aka Beast Boy (Ryan Potter), these lost and disparate individuals became a surrogate family to one another and a team of heroes for the world.
Produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros Television, it was developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti, with Goldsman, Johns, Berlanti, showrunner Greg Walker, Sarah Schechter and Richard Hatem serving as executive producers. What began as a project for the now-defunct streaming service DC Universe has since become a HBO Max original – but in the UK, where HBO Max does not operate, Netflix currently holds the rights to the show.
Season 3 will debut its finale in the US on 21st October, but is still awaiting a release date on Netflix in the UK, where it will arrive all in one go. Before either of those take place, though, HBO has already given the green light to another run.
Season 3 sees circumstances draw the heroes to Gotham City, where they reunite with old friends and face new threats. It stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Conor Leslie, Curran Walters and Joshua Orpin with Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Damaris Lewis and Savannah Welch.
