Creed universe in the works at Amazon Prime Video

A Creed universe of films and TV shows is in the works at Amazon Prime Video, with Michael B Jordan spearheading the project.
Creed entered Amazon’s world when it acquired MGM last year, with Creed III marking the first major movie release from the studio under Amazon’s ownership. Now, Deadline reports that talks have been underway between Jordan and Amazon about a slate of Creed titles, which have been bolstered by the success of Creed III.
The conversations haven’t led to a official green lights or orders yet, but Deadline reports that the Rocky spin-off franchise could include a whole range of projects, including even an anime series as well as a live-action show. Another possibility is a project centred on Adonis Creed’s daughter, Amara, played by Mila Davis-Kent in Creed III.
Further Creed films would, of course, come as no surprise after Creed III’s box office takings, and there is already a Drago spin-off moie in the works at MGM, penned by Robert Lawton, which would feature not only Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago but also Florian Munteanu reprising his role as Ivan’s son, Viktor Drago.
“Building the Creed universe is something that I’m really excited about,” Jordan told Deadline at the Creed III premiere. As Amazon increasingly turns to franchises and recognisable IP (from 007 to The Lord of the Rings), the question is how big the Creed universe will get.
