Ten Percent: Amazon’s Call My Agent remake arrives this April

Amazon’s Call My Agent remake will be arriving on our screens much sooner than expected, with the series officially set to debut this April.
The comedy retains the essence of the French original but is relocated to a London talent agency and incorporates John Morton’s British sensibility while introducing new storylines and cameo appearances. The series stars Jack Davenport, Lydia Leonard, Maggie Steed, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Hiftu Quasem, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Rebecca Humphries, Harry Trevaldwyn, Tim McInnerny, Natasha Little, Edward Bluemel, Eleonore Arnaud and Jim Broadbent and includes A-list cameo appearances including Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams, David Oyelowo, Jessica Oyelowo, Dominic West, Emma Corrin, Kelly Macdonald, Himesh Patel, David Harewood and Clemence Poesy.

Call My Agent! is getting the British treatment, courtesy of Amazon Prime Video, and new images give us a first look at the comedy series.
BAFTA award winner John Morton (Twenty Twelve, W1A) is writing and directing the first two episodes and executive producing the series, which aims to retain the essence of the French series, where a Parisian talent agency’s employees must scramble to keep their star clients happy and their business afloat after the sudden death of their founder.
Series regulars will include Jack Davenport, Lydia Leonard, Maggie Steed, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Hiftu Quasem, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Rebecca Humphries, Harry Trevaldwyn, Tim McInnerny, Natasha Little, Edward Bluemel, Eleonore Arnaud and Jim Broadbent, with cameos from Kelly Macdonald (Trainspotting, No Country for Old Men), Helena Bonham Carter (The Harry Potter series, The Crown, The King’s Speech) and Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense, An Education).
Now, we know that Emma Corrin, Himesh Patel, David Harewood, David Oyelowo, Dominic West and Clemency Poesy will join that line-up of celebrity cameos.

A British remake of Call My Agent! has been snapped up by Amazon Prime Video for streaming in the UK and Ireland.

“This comedy has quietly become one of the very best TV shows on Netflix,” we wrote of the original series, which is available on Netflix UK.
Series regulars will include Jack Davenport, Lydia Leonard, Maggie Steed, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Hiftu Quasem, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Rebecca Humphries, Harry Trevaldwyn, Tim McInnerny, Natasha Little, Edward Bluemel, Eleonore Arnaud and Jim Broadbent, with cameos from Kelly Macdonald (Trainspotting, No Country for Old Men), Helena Bonham Carter (The Harry Potter series, The Crown, The King’s Speech) and Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense, An Education).

Executive Producers are David Davoli, Samantha Thomas, Steven Thibault, and Aaron L. Sarah Curtis is a producer and Ben Rimmer is a co-producer, with BRON’s Emma Fleischer on as supervising producer. Call My Agent! original producers, Aurélien Larger and Harold Valentin of Mother Productions, and Dominique Besnehard and Michel Feller of Mon Voisin Productions, are also executive producers. BRON Studios is producing and co-financing. Headline Pictures is co-producing.
Call My Agent! joins Prime Video’s stable of exclusive dramas including The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Leonardo, The Wilds, Modern Love and Little Fires Everywhere. A release date is yet to be confirmed.
