James R | On 13, Oct 2023
Season 4 of For All Mankind will land on Apple TV+ this November, and a new trailer gives us a first look at the gold rush in store.
Rocketing into the new millennium in the eight years since Season 3, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working toward.
The ensemble cast returning for season four includes Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Krys Marshall, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu and Coral Peña along with new series regulars Toby Kebbell, Tyner Rushing, Daniel Stern and Svetlana Efremova.
You can see them in action on Friday 10th November, when the 10-episode fourth season debuts on Apple TV+, with new episodes arriving weekly until the finale on 12th January 2024.
Apple TV+ renews For All Mankind for Season 4
23rd July 2022
Apple TV+ has given a Season 4 renewal to For All Mankind, its hit space race drama.
From Ronald D Moore, Ben Nedivi and Matt Wolpert, the alt-history series explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The series presents an aspirational world where NASA astronauts, engineers and their families find themselves in the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of a different but pertinent timeline – a world in which the USSR beats the US to the moon.
Season 3 arrived last month and took a giant leap forward into the the 90s, where a new planetary frontier has sparked another space race: Mars. The characters find themselves going head-to-head as their ambitions for the Red Planet come into conflict and their loyalties are tested, creating a pressure cooker that builds to a climactic conclusion.
“Expansive, emotional, ambitious and thrilling, Season 3 cements For All Mankind as one of the best shows on TV,” we wrote in our review.
Now, ahead of the finale on 12th August, Apple TV+ has announced that the show will once again return for a new season. The news was confirmed during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, featuring series stars Joel Kinnaman, Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Sonya Walger, Krys Marshall, Cynthy Wu, Casey Johnson, Coral Peña, Wrenn Schmidt and Edi Gathegi, along with executive producers Moore, Nedivi, Wolpert and Maril Davis.
Season 4 joins other Apple originals that have been recently renewed, including Loot, Schmigadoon!, Severance, Pachinko, The Afterparty and Slow Horses.
Production will begin on Season 4 next month.
