“The mission is burned. They’re onto you now.” That’s the sound of an operation going wrong in Tehran, Apple TV+’s new thriller.
The series, from Fauda writer Moshe Zonder, tells the story of a Mossad agent who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission infiltrating Iran. When her mission goes wrong, there’s no way out, placing her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy.
The series stars young Israeli actress Niv Sultan (Flawless, She Has It), critically acclaimed actor Shaun Toub (Homeland, Crash), international star Navid Negahban (Homeland, Legion), Shervin Alenabi (Baghdad in My Shadow), Liraz Charhi (A Late Quartet) and Menashe Noy (Big Bad Wolves). The show premieres on 25th September on Apple TV+, with the first three episodes dropping at once and the rest arriving weekly. Here’s the trailer:

Spy thriller Tehran will premiere on Apple TV+ this September.
The series from Fauda writer Moshe Zonder tells the story of a Mossad agent who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy. The series stars young Israeli actress Niv Sultan (Flawless, She Has It), critically acclaimed actor Shaun Toub (Homeland, Crash), international star Navid Negahban (Homeland, Legion), Shervin Alenabi (Baghdad in My Shadow), Liraz Charhi (A Late Quartet) and Menashe Noy (Big Bad Wolves).
Apple partnered with Cineflix Rights and Israeli network Kan 11 to co-produce the show, which is created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, and directed by Daniel Syrkin. Omri Shenhar serves as writer alongside Zonder. The series is executive produced by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden, Shula Spiegel, Alon Aranya, Julien Leroux, Peter Emerson and Eldad Koblenz; and produced by Donna and Shula Productions in association with Paper Plane Productions, with the participation of Cineflix Rights and Cosmote TV.
Episodes 1 to 3 will premiere globally on Friday 25th September on Apple TV+, with episodes then arriving weekly on Fridays.
Apple TV+ boards spy thriller Tehran

Apple TV+ has come aboard new spy thriller Tehran.
The series, which is broadcast by Kan 11 in Israel, follows a Mossad computer hacker-agent undertaking her first mission in the Iranian capital. Tasked with disabling a nuclear reactor, her mission takes on a global scale, but when the mission fails, she goes rogue in Tehran, which is also her home town. And, as she rediscovers her roots, she becomes romantically involved with a pro-democracy activist.
The eight-part series stars Israeli actress Niv Sultan as Tamar, alongside Iron Man actor Shaun Toub and Homeland‘s Navid Negahban. It is created and written by Moshe Zonder, who penned Netflix’s Fauda. Zonder created the show alongside Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, with Omri Shenhar also attached as writer. At the helm is Daniel Syrkin, with Eden, Shula Spiegel, Alon Aranya, Julien Leroux, Peter Emerson and Eldad Koblenz all exec-producers.
Distributed by Cineflix Rights, Apple TV+ has now boarded the project, co-producing the programme and also holding the international rights to the show outside of Israel.
