“It’s an honour to be selected for field work.” “Shut up.” “Got it.” That’s the sound of Slow Horses galloping quickly back on to our screens this month – and a first trailer gives us a close look at Season 3.
The darkly funny espionage drama follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes. Led by their brilliant but irascible leader, the notorious Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces.
In Season 3, a romantic liaison in Istanbul threatens to expose a buried MI5 secret in London. When Jackson Lamb and his team of misfits are dragged into the fight, they find themselves caught in a conspiracy that threatens the future not just of Slough House but of MI5 itself.
The first two episodes arrive together on 29th November, followed by episodes weekly until the finale on 27th December.

Gary Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world. “This enjoyably low-key thriller is an entertaining walk on the shabby side of spying,” we wrote in our review of Season 1, which debuted in April.
Now, Apple is already galloping ahead with plans for more episodes. This is not the first time Apple has greenlit a double-season renewal, with the show initially commissioned for two seasons.
Season 3 will see Jackson Lamb’s disgraced spies work together to foil a rogue agent when one of their own is kidnapped. Season 4 will open with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House. Saul Metzstein is set to direct the third season; the director for the fourth season has not yet been announced.
Season 2 will arrive on Apple TV+ later this year.
