Amazon drops a Dietland teaser trailer

With summer rapidly approaching, we’re one step closer to Amazon’s latest exclusive acquisition, Dietland – and a new teaser trailer gives us a taste of what to expect.
Based on Sarai Walker’s 2015 best-selling novel of the same name, the series follows Plum Kettle’s (Joy Nash – The Mindy Project, Twin Peaks) journey to self-awakening while exploring a multitude of issues faced by women today – including patriarchy, misogyny, rape culture and unrealistic beauty standards. The ten episodes look into the life of Plum, a ghost-writer for one of New York’s hottest fashion magazines, edited by Kitty Montgomery (Golden Globe winner Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife, ER), as she struggles with self-image and embarks on the complicated road to self-acceptance.
The series premieres on Amazon Prime Video in the UK on Tuesday 5th June. Here’s the video:
Amazon gobbles up UK TV rights to Dietland

Amazon has snapped up the UK TV rights to Dietland, AMC’s upcoming series from Marti Noxon.
The darkly comedic new series is exec-produced by the Emmy nominee and is based on Sarai Walker’s 2015 best-selling, critically-acclaimed novel of the same name.
The ten episodes look into the life of Plum Kettle, a ghost-writer for the editor of one of New York’s hottest fashion magazines, as she struggles with self-image and embarks on the complicated road to self-acceptance. It follows her on a journey to self-awakening, while exploring a multitude of issues faced by women today – including patriarchy, misogyny, rape culture and unrealistic beauty standards.
The programme stars Joy Nash (The Mindy Project, Twin Peaks) as Plum, with Golden Globe winner Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife, ER) as Kitty Montgomery.
The show will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Tuesday 5th June, with new episodes arriving weekly, within 24 hours of their US broadcast.
