It’s Christmas time in Aldovia, and a royal baby is on the way. Yes, A Christmas Prince is coming to Netflix once again this festive season to bring the good tidings of a third entry in the world’s unlikeliest trilogy.
Amber (Rose McIver) and Prince Richard (Ben Lamb) debuted on our screens back in 2017, as Netflix produced its first ever Christmas movie. That saw Amber, a journalist, travel to the nation of Aldovia to write about Richard, only for her to be mistaken for the tutor of the young Princess Emily (Honor Kneafsey). Fast forward past a second movie and Amber and Richard are hosting royals from a distant kingdom to renew a sacred truce, but when the treaty vanishes, peace is jeopardised and an ancient curse threatens their family.
Can Amber unmask the thief before the clock strikes on Christmas Eve? Find out on 5th December, when A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby premieres on Netflix.
Here’s the final trailer:
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.
Netflix to deliver A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby this December
16th October 2019
This December, a royal new arrival will be crawling its way through your Netflix library. Yes, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby is being delivered just in time for the holidays.
“So cheerfully formulaic that resistance is futile,” we wrote in our review of the first film, which went on to become a cult hit among subscribers.
Indeed, what followed was a meet-cute destined for marriage, and The Royal Wedding followed in 2018, as the pair planned their nuptials – only to face the added challenge of the kingdom’s economic downturn.
“This once-charmingly braindead affair has become too sentient for its own good,” we wrote in our review of the sequel, which was met with a decidedly mixed reception.
In A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, Amber and Richard will host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce. When the priceless 600-year-old treaty disappears, peace between the two royal families is put in jeopardy and an ancient curse threatens their coexistence. Now, Amber has to unmask the thief before the clock strikes on Christmas Eve.
The film premieres on Netflix on 5th December. Here’s your first look at the poster and a still from the movie:
