The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: Season 1
Amazon’s fantasy epic takes us back to JRR Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth. Morfydd Clark and Robert Aramayo star as a young Galadriel and Elrond.

Brassic: Season 4
Season 4 of Joe Gilgun’s working-class comedy sees Vinnie (Gilgun) track down Erin (Michelle Keegan), who fled Hawley at the end of the last series to escape dangerous criminal Terence McCann. Among the scenes pictured are those of the gang causing mayhem at a murder mystery night, where Steve Pemberton makes a cameo appearance alongside the fancy dress-clad cast.

The Serpent Queen: Season 1
A historical drama with an edge, “The Serpent Queen” puts a contemporary spin on conventional storytelling to tell the tale of Catherine de Medici’s (Morton) rise to power. In the series premiere, “Medici Bitch,” Catherine’s tale unfolds through flashbacks as she defends her actions and imparts the lessons she’s learned to her new servant confident, Rahima. At 14, the young, orphaned Catherine marries into the 16th-century French court. Despite her commoner status, her uncle Pope Clement, has negotiated a large dowry and a geopolitical alliance in return for the union, and with it comes the expectation of many heirs. However, on her wedding night, Catherine learns that her new husband is in love with Diane de Poitiers, a beautiful lady-in-waiting twice his age. Episodes arrive weekly.

Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral
Monday 19th September marks the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, 10 days after she passed away at Balmoral. After a procession across the UK, and several days of lying in state with members of the public queuing to pay their respects, the Queen’s coffin will make its way to Westminster Abbey for the funeral, before ultimately heading to Windsor, where the Queen will be buried. Coverage kicks off at 8am, with the funeral taking place at 11am, followed by a procession and a second service in the afternoon. Academy Dreams: Leeds United
A NEO Studios production, this six-part docuseries is the product of behind-the-scenes access to Leeds United’s players and staff across a year of filming. Industry: Season 2
HBO’s drama following graduates finding their way in the ruthless world of financial trading returns. Season 2 sees the firm Pierpoint entering a period of change, as a new American voice lands from New York. Daniel Van Deventer’s arrival forces a return to work for Harper, who has been laying low in a hotel throughout the Covid-19 lockdowns. But the US invasion signals a larger threat. The pandemic has proven that Pierpoint can do more with less, so the die is cast: either New York CPS or London CPS will subsume the other. Only one will survive.
