What’s coming soon to Sky and NOW in September 2026?

Sky is breaking timely ground this September with the debut of documentary series The Wargame. It’s joined by some much-needed light entertaining with the return of breakout hit Saturday Night Live UK, a second chapter of The Office spin-off The Paper and the UK premiere of New Zealand Spy. (Reminder: Sky includes new HBO Max titles in its Sky Ultimate TV subscription – and, for NOW’s streaming customers, HBO Max Basic with Ads is also included in NOW Entertainment memberships.)

New Zealand Spy (Sky One) – 4th September
New Zealand’s safety and security rests in their hands – God help them. This comedy follows a trio of new recruits at the New Zealand Intelligence Agency. Working under a man known only as “Boss”, the team’s first assignment sees them attempting to thwart an assassination attempt. Created by Paul Williams, starring Williams, Rose Matafeo, Joe Thomas, Claudia O’Doherty, Bret McKenzie and Sam Campbell. All episodes arrive together.
Lorne (Sky Documentaries) – 5th September
Find out the story of the legend that created comedy legends in this documentary that tracks the staggering highs and lows of the career of Lorne Michaels – the legendary producer of Saturday Night Live.
The Paper: Season 2 (Sky One) – 10th September
The fictional camera crew that immortalised Dunder Mifflin are striking set and moving from Scranton to Toledo. The stars of their new mockumentary are staffers of a historic Midwestern newspaper, the Toledo Truth-Teller, and the publisher trying to bring it back to life with volunteer reporters. All episodes arrive at once.
Saturday Night Live UK: Season 2 (Sky Comedy) – 12th September
Live from London on Saturday nights, it’s SNL UK! In a distinctly British twist on the beloved American series, a team of up-and-coming talent will give their spin on the week’s news and deliver hilarious sketches – all in front of a live studio audience, and broadcast live. Episodes arrive weekly, beginning with an episode hosted by Jeff Goldblum.
The Walking Dead: Dead City: Season 3 (Sky One) – 18th September
Maggie and Negan return for a third chapter in the horror franchise’s fan-favourite spin-off.
The Wargame (Sky One) – 21st September
Based on the Sky News podcast of the same name, this immersive documentary four-part series takes viewers beyond the news cycle and behind closed doors into a sealed COBR-style crisis room where real-world senior politicians, military leaders and intelligence chiefs are challenged to confront a high-stakes scenario: a Russian attack on UK soil. An impressive cross-party cast of highly experienced public figures must navigate this crisis, including Michael Gove, Nicola Sturgeon, Penny Mordaunt, Sayeeda Warsi, Harriet Harman, Jim Murphy, Ayesha Hazarika, General Sir Richard Barrons, Kim Darroch, Christopher Steele, Lord George Robertson and Anthony Scaramucci. Opposing them, a team of Russia experts, led by Keir Giles. Episodes air nightly through the week.

Hungry – 4th September
A group of holidaymakers find their dream trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, turning into their worst nightmare in a race for survival in this new action thriller. Heading on a cheap and cheerful alligator-watching riverboat tour through the Louisiana swamplands, things go wrong when they make a bid to find “Big Ben” – a giant alligator believed to be living in part of the swamp off the beaten track. Instead, they find themselves fighting for their lives against a giant, feral hippo who will take out anything and anyone in its path.
TOW – 5th September
The true story of Amanda Ogle, a homeless Seattle woman who fought her way out of tow-company hell to reclaim her life and car after receiving a huge tow bill.
Do Not Enter – 6th September
A group of explorers investigate an old abandoned hotel, encountering a strange supernatural being and a rival group searching for a legendary hidden treasure.
Supergirl – 10th September
Kara Zor-El, the reckless cousin of Superman’s Clark Kent, is in a celebratory mood as she turns 23 as Supergirl begins. Heading across the galaxy with her beloved dog Krypto, an unexpected new villain leaves Kara on a vengeance mission, and soon she’s joining forces with a new companion in order to exact her revenge and get the justice she deserves.
The History of Sound – 12th September
Based on the stories of Ben Shattuck, The History of Sound follows singer Lionel Worthing and composer David White, starting when they first meet at Boston Music Conservatory in 1917. They have an undeniable connection, but their relationship is stifled by the impending First World War and the world’s outlook on homosexuality. When the war is over, the pair embark on a journey to record folk songs around Maine, in a trip that makes a lasting impact on both of their lives.
Rabbit Trap – 13th September
Two musicians move to Wales to complete their new album. By accident, they record a sound never heard before and gradually disconnect from reality.
The Fix – 18th September
After a group of CIA operatives face tragedy during a mission in Afghanistan in 2021, they are sent home and put on “administrative separation”. A year later, still suffering mentally from their experiences of war, the group – led by mentor Larry and skills field operative Tucker – reunite and head to Tehran in Iran the hopes of pulling off a heist that could bag them $25million. But along the way, lies and deceit reveal themselves as it becomes a mission that could finally give them peace and redemption.
Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie – 20th September
When a scheme to book a show at the Rivoli goes disastrously wrong, Matt and Jay find themselves unexpectedly transported back to 2008.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple – 25th September
In the fourth movie of the 28… Later series, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple picks up almost immediately after 28 Years Later. Survivor Dr Ian Kelson, creator of a monument known as the Bone Temple, continues his fight against the plague turning everyone into monsters, before beginning to formulate a potential antidote to the killer virus. To do this, he creates a friend in an undead human, using him as a guinea pig in order to test his formulas. Meanwhile, a satanic group led by the tracksuit-donning Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal get to work initiating 12-year-old orphan Spike into their gang, thriving in the chaos that the apocalypse provides to revel in the anarchic world that now exists.

Charlie XCX navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut.
Barron’s Cove – 27th September
When Caleb Faulkner’s son is killed in a tragic accident, grief consumes him. But when the system fails to hold the responsible child accountable, Caleb takes matters into his own hands—abducting the boy and vanishing into the wilderness. His desperate act ignites a frantic manhunt, led by a power-hungry politician eager to twist the tragedy for personal gain.
