Nish Kumar: Your Power, Your Control (Sky Comedy, 9pm) – 1st August
One of the country’s smartest political comics, Nish Kumar, takes to the stage for his new comedy special, Your Power, Your Control. Taking his starting point as a terrible gig where he was booed off stage after a series of anti-Brexit jokes, Nish explores his own mental health during this period of uncertainty through COVID and political upheaval… and his amazing capacity to take all these things personally.
Departure: Season 3 (Sky Witness, 9pm) – 2nd August
Kendra Malley and her team of investigators are back in the action-packed third season of the Canadian crime procedural series. Episodes arrive weekly.
Game 4 Ukraine (Sky Max, 5pm) – 5th August
Sky presents coverage of the charity football event Game 4 Ukraine live from Stamford Bridge. Announced by Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in support of his United 24 initiative, the event will raise funds for the reconstruction of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky Lyceum in Chernihiv Oblast, a school struck by missiles.
The Torso Killer (Sky Crime, 9pm) – 6th August
In 1980, serial killer Richard Cottingham was finally apprehended for the murder and mutilation of five murders of women in the New York and New Jersey area. But this was just the tip of the iceberg.
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty: Season 2 (Sky Atlantic, 2am/9pm) – 7th August
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty Season Two continues to explore the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers. This season hones in on the period just after the Finals in 1980 through 1984, culminating in the first professional rematch of the era’s greatest stars: Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. What on Earth?: Season 5 (Sky History, 9pm) – 8th August
Circling high above the earth at 17,000 miles an hour, satellites uncover startling mysteries invisible to observers on the ground. In this series, experts investigate astonishing mysteries uncovered by these images.
Mission To Burnley (Sky Documentaries, 9pm) – 10th August
A group of American businessmen, who belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, have bought Burnley FC, one of English football’s most traditional clubs. Led by the charismatic Alan Pace and inspired by their faith, they have swapped Wall Street NYC for Harry Potts Way Lancashire with a pressing goal – to build a global footballing dynasty in Burnley and beyond. Following the action on and off the pitch, the documentary captures the highs and lows of a tumultuous period that has encompassed the clubs relegation from the Premier League. This is an extraordinarily candid series, examining the running of a major football club on a unique journey inside, out from and returning back to the most glamorous league in the world. The team pivots when their sting operation to secure a massive bomb from an illegal broker leads them to discover that the device is already in the wrong hands. FBI: International: Season 2 (Sky Witness, 10pm) – 17th August
The Fly Team and new Europol liaison Megan “Smitty” Garretson (new regular series cast member Eva-Jane Willis) investigate when an American police detective on the Federal task force is murdered in Paris while looking into a U.S. company suspected of selling illegal weapons in France and the Middle East. Episodes arrive weekly.
FBI: Most Wanted: Season 4 (Sky Witness, 9pm) – 18th August
When a family of four from New York is found dead in a Georgia motel room, the Fugitive Task Force investigates a connection between the victims and the sale of illegal firearms. Also, Barnes struggles with Remy’s leadership style upon her return from maternity leave, and Remy and his sister plan for their mother’s care. Episodes arrive weekly.
The Man Who Stole The Scream (Sky Documentaries) – 19th August
Norway, 1994. The eyes of the world are on Lillehammer, Norway for the start of the Winter Olympics. Just over eighty miles away, in the capital, Oslo, two men break into the National Gallery. About a minute later they emerge with a picture and drive off in a grey van. But this is no ordinary painting. It’s The Scream by Edvard Munch. It’s one of the most iconic images in all of art. And it’s worth over $100M.
Serial Killer Capital: Baton Rouge (Sky Crime, 9pm) – 20th August
For some, Baton Rouge is just the capital city of Louisiana. But for others, it’s one of the darkest places in the country. The city’s grim history is the subject of the two-part special Serial Killer Capital: Baton Rouge. From 1994-2004, more than 36 women are brutally murdered in the city. Investigators struggled for more than a decade until evidence finally led them to a terrifying conclusion – there were three different murderers stalking Baton Rouge at the same time.
100% Wolf: The Book of Hath (Sky Kids) – 21st August
Werewolves joining normal human society has not worked out well for Freddy and his ex-Howlington buddies. The Night Patrol has been relegated to desk jobs and the Way of the Wolf has all but been forgotten. But when strange creatures start appearing in Milford and a powerful sorceress from the distant past threatens his very existence, this fluffy pink were-poodle leads his friends through another series of hilarious action adventures and proves he is 100% Wolf.
Never Mind the Buzzcocks: Season 3 (Sky Max, 9pm) – 23rd August
Much-loved comedy panel show, Never Mind the Buzzcocks is to return to Sky Max for a third series, with comedian, actor and writer Greg Davies leading the way back in the presenting chair. Produced by Talkback (a Fremantle label), the music themed quiz will also see the return of team captains, Noel Fielding and Daisy-May Cooper and regular guest Jamali Maddix. A new host of brilliant guests will be putting their pop culture knowledge to the test for series three through a series of hilarious rounds including the iconic Identity Parade. Alone: Predator Lake (Sky History, 10pm) – 24th August
It is the boldest test of endurance experiment ever attempted. 10 people will enter the wilderness carrying only what they can fit in a small backpack. They will be alone in harsh, unforgiving terrain with a single mission – stay alive as long as they can. Episodes arrive weekly.
Miracle Workers: End Times (Sky Comedy) – 28th August
Daniel Radcliffe (Weird: The Al Yankovic Story), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Geraldine Viswanathan (Bad Education), Karan Soni (Deadpool) and Jon Bass (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) return in the fourth instalment of the comedy anthology series as all-new characters in a dystopian future full of radioactive mutants, killer robots and a tyrannical homeowner’s association with outrageous annual fees. All episodes arrive at once.

Maggie Moore(s) – 4th August
When two women with the same name are murdered days apart, small-town police chief Jordan Sanders (John Hamm) finds himself wading through an unlikely collection of cheating husbands, lonely hearts, contract killers and a nosy neighbour (Tina Fey) in an effort to put the pieces of the case, and his life, together. The film is inspired by actual events.
Assassin – 5th August
A private military operation (led by Bruce Willis in his final film role) invents futuristic microchip tech that enables the mind of an agent to inhabit the body of another person to carry out covert, deadly missions. But when an agent is killed during a secret mission, his wife Alexa takes his place in an attempt to bring the man responsible to justice.
The Harbinger – 6th August
When her oldest friend is plagued by horrific nightmares from the beyond, Monique (Gabby Beans, House of Cards) is forced to travel to NYC. On the first night of the visit, Monique learns the dreams are contagious – and so is the Harbinger, the plague mask-wearing demon who not only feeds on its victims’ souls, but warps reality itself to remove any trace of their existence.
A Man Called Otto – 11th August
Based on the comical and moving New York Times bestseller, A Man Called Otto tells the story of Otto Anderson (Tom Hanks), a grumpy widower whose only joy comes from criticizing and judging his exasperated neighbours. When a lively young family moves in next door, he meets his match in quick-witted and very pregnant Marisol, leading to an unexpected friendship that will turn his world upside-down.

A group of college friends rent a smart house for a weekend of partying – only for the titular AI system that runs the house to have sinister designs for them…
Biosphere – 13th August
Billy (Mark Duplass) and Ray (Sterling K. Brown) are lifelong best friends, brothers from another mother – and the last two men on earth. Their survival is largely due to Ray, a brilliant scientist who designed a domed structure with all the systems necessary to sustain life on a planet that could no longer support it. Their custom biosphere is outfitted with basic necessities and creature comforts that make it possible to retain a sense of what life used to be like. A hydroponic garden provides fresh vegetables and a carefully managed fishpond supplies essential protein. Recently, however, fish have begun dying at an alarming rate. With a mere three fish remaining, Billy and Ray face an ominous future. But life may yet find a way.

She Said – 19th August
Two-time Academy Award® nominee Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman, An Education) and Zoe Kazan (The Plot Against America limited series, The Big Sick) star as New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, who together broke one of the most important stories in a generation–a story that helped propel the #Metoo movement, shattered decades of silence around the subject of sexual assault in Hollywood and altered American culture forever.
Next Exit – 20th August
When a research scientist makes national news proving she can track people into the afterlife, Rose sees a way out and Teddy sees his chance to finally make it. M3GAN – 25th August
M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Get Out’s Allison Williams), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems–a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.
