It’s back to school, and back to the dojo, this September, as Cobra Kai returns for a fifth season. But if it’s nostalgia you’re after, Netflix has more than that to offer, with classics including The Sting and Lawrence of Arabia joining future cult favourites Kajillionaire and Thoroughbreds.

Hot Rod – 1st September

Cobra Kai: Season 5 – 9th September

Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Sensei Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.

Kajillionaire – 9th September

A family of grifters is upended by a new recruit in Miranda July’s delightfully offbeat crime comedy.

Thoroughbreds – 13th September

Hilarious and unpredictable, this deliciously twisted teen thriller is destined to become a cult favourite.

Benedict Cumberbatch is brilliant in this deliberately low-key historical spy thriller.
