What’s coming soon to Netflix UK in November 2020?

It’s Christmas – if you set your calendar by Netflix that is, as the streaming giant starts to roll out its festive offerings for the year, including new musicals from Dolly Parton and a star-studded ensemble including Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key and John Legend. But for those looking for something to keep them going through the coming month indoors before December, there’s a helpful array on the way, from Dawson’s Creek and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to Season 4 of The Crown and Ron Howard movie Hillbilly Elegy. But let’s face it: we’re all just waiting for The Christmas Chronicles: Part 2.

Dawson’s Creek: Season 1 to 6 – 1st November
A welcome chance to catch up with the wise-cracking, life-philosophising, hormone-racing teen drama, starring James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson. Joey’s lifelong friendship pledge to Dawson is tested when Dawson is drawn to newcomer Jen.
Mother – 3rd November
Shuhei’s erratic mother feels threatened when he starts to awaken to a world beyond her distorted control, sending the family hurtling towards tragedy.
The End of the F***ing World: Season 2 – 4th November
After a finale that left viewers reeling, Season 2 sets the action two years on, with Alyssa (Jessica Barden) still dealing with the fallout of the events from that day on the beach. Also, we re-join the story and meet Bonnie (Naomi Ackie), who has a mysterious connection to Alyssa.
Love & Anarchy: Season 1 – 4th November
From acclaimed screenwriter and director Lisa Langseth, the eight-part comedy/drama features Sofie, a career driven consultant and married mother of two. When Sofie gets an assignment to modernize an old publishing house she meets young IT tech Max, and an unexpected flirting game begins. Sofie and Max secretly challenge each other to do things that question modern day life. It starts innocently enough, but as the game gets more and more daring the consequences grow beyond proportions.

Paranormal: Season 1 – 5th November

Along with his university colleague Maggie, they enter the paranormal world and try to save their loved ones from the immense danger that surrounds them. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse – 6th November
Wholly unique and jaw-droppingly stylish, this progressive, post-modern story of parallel realities is one of the best superhero movies ever made.

The Liberator: Season 1 – 11th November
Based on the book The Liberator: One World War II Soldier’s 500-Day Odyssey by Alex Kershaw, this four-part series tells the true story of the bloodiest and most dramatic march to victory of the Second World War: the battlefield odyssey of maverick U.S. Army officer Felix Sparks and his infantry unit, as they fought for over 500 days to liberate Europe. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey – 13th November

The Crown: Season 4 – 15th November
Season 4 picks up in the late 1970s. Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor), who is still unmarried at 30. As the nation begins to feel the impact of divisive policies introduced by Britain’s first female Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), tensions arise between her and the Queen which only grow worse as Thatcher leads the country into the Falklands War, generating conflict within the Commonwealth. Hillbilly Elegy – 24th November
Based on the novel by JD Vance, it follows Vance, a former Marine from southern Ohio and current Yale Law student, who is on the verge of landing his dream job when a family crisis forces him to return to the home he’s tried to forget. J.D. must navigate the complex dynamics of his Appalachian family, including his volatile relationship with his mother Bev (Amy Adams), who’s struggling with addiction. Fueled by memories of his grandmother Mamaw (Glenn Close), the resilient and whip-smart woman who raised him, J.D. comes to realize that to achieve his dreams, he must embrace his roots.
The Christmas Chronicles: Part 2 – 25th November
It’s been two years since siblings Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis) saved Christmas, and a lot has changed. Kate, now a cynical teenager, is reluctantly spending Christmas in Cancun with her mom’s new boyfriend and his son, Jack (Jahzir Bruno). Unwilling to accept this new version of her family, Kate decides to run away.
