Netflix has a star-studded month in store, from a live tennis match to Guy Ritchie’s TV spin-off from The Gentlemen, not to mention Millie Bobby Brown in Damsel and the return of Girls5eva, plus a new thriller from the duo behind Game of Thrones and John Ridley’s biopic of Shirley Chisolm starring Regina King. Throw in Top Gun: Maverick and a double-bill of serious Adam Sandler and you have a blockbuster line-up that’s hard to beat.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in March 2024:

Spaceman – 1st March

Astronaut Adam Sandler gets space therapy from a giant spider in this ponderous sci-fi drama.

Stand by Me – 1st March

Rob Reiner’s take on Stephen King’s The Body, which sees four boys seeking adventure in the woods while looking for a missing teenager’s dead body, is nothing less than a masterpiece.

Punch-Drunk Love – 1st March

Adam Sandler delivers a rare serious turn as introvert Barry, who falls for the kooky friend of one of his sisters (Emily Watson). The result is one of Sandler’s best – and one of Paul Thomas Anderson’s most memorable films too. And not just because of the puddings and mattresses.

The Netflix Slam (Live) – 3rd March

22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal takes on world no 2 Carlos Alcaraz in Netflix’s latest live sporting special, streamed from Las Vegas at 8.30pm UK time (3.30pm ET).

The Gentlemen: Season 1 – 7th March

Eddie Horniman (Theo James) unexpectedly inherits his father’s sizeable
country estate – only to discover it’s part of a cannabis empire. What’s more, a host of unsavoury characters from Britain’s criminal underworld want a piece of the operation…

Blown Away: Season 4 – 8th March

Bigger, bolder, hotter. Ten glassblowers turn up the heat for a grueling competition in North America’s largest hot shop for a chance to win $100,000.

Damsel – 8th March

A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive. Millie Bobby Brown stars.

The Matrix Resurrections – 9th March

Lana Wachowski’s meta-sequel continues the subversive trend of Matrix sequels, but also reclaims it.

Girls5eva: Season 3 – 14th March

The members of the late ‘90s girl-group Girls5eva – Dawn, Wickie, Summer, and Gloria – have reunited and recorded a new album, Returnity, so it’s time for the next logical step: a comeback tour. With no plan, tour manager, or venues secured, the ladies pile into a van and hit the great unknown, doing their damnedest to promote their album and get back on top.

3 Body Problem: Season 1 – 21st March

From David Benioff and DB Weiss (Game of Thrones), and Alexander Woo (The Terror: Infamy, True Blood) comes a sci-fi drama based on the bestselling book trilogy of the same name. A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.

Shirley – 22nd March

Regina King stars as Shirley Chisholm in the story of the first Black congresswoman and her trailblazing run for president of the United States. Directed by John Ridley.

Top Gun: Maverick – 22nd March

Tom Cruise is on thrilling form in this surprisingly moving sequel.

Is It Cake? Season 3 – 29th March

The hit series returns with higher stakes, bigger cakes, and wilder bakes.
