What’s coming soon to Netflix UK in February 2019?
David Farnor | On 23, Jan 2019
It’s easy to fall in love with Netflix this February, as the streaming service serves up something to suit every possible taste, from satirical horror and true crime to sci-fi suspense, modern action, classic comedy, mouth-watering food docs and also Mamma Mia!.
Those wanting a laugh during the cold winter nights can look forward to the Groundhog Day-with-a-twist series Russian Doll, as well as the return of Patriot Act and One Day at a Time. Shocks will be aplenty in Dan Gilroy’s Velvet Buzzsaw, which arrives fresh from its premiere at Sundance, where indie comedy-drama Paddleton also makes its debut.
True crime lovers will find a perfect match in The Assassination of Gianna Versace, as well as the arrival of Bravo’s dating-gone-wrong series Dirty John – the perfect contrast to Netflix’s own original dating show, Dating Around. Thrills, meanwhile, are on offer from The Umbrella Academy and Suburra’s second season, not to mention Season 7 of Homeland and Nightflyers, based on the book by George RR Martin. And, in between all of that, there’s still room for Netflix to quietly premiere the latest movie from Steven Soderbergh – shot, as you do, on iPhone.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in February 2019:
