David Farnor | On 31, Mar 2022
It’s all about final chapters this April, as Netflix brings back some of its biggest shows to bid farewell, from Ozark and Grace & Frankie to Better Call Saul – plus the return of Russian Doll for what may well be its second and final outing. But, if it’s something more light-hearted you want, the month also brings Judd Apatow’s latest, a second helping of Green Eggs and Ham, Catherine Tate’s new comedy series, a sprinkling of interactive offerings, and another season of Selling Sunset.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in April 2022:
The Bubble – 1st April
Judd Apatow’s timely comedy follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a sequel to an action franchise film about flying dinosaurs.
Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood – 1st April
Inspired by Linklater’s childhood in Houston, TX, the film is set against the backdrop of the 1969 Apollo mission and tells the story of the first moon landing from two interwoven perspectives. It both captures the astronaut and mission control view of the triumphant moment, and the lesser-seen bottom up perspective of what it was like from an excited kid’s perspective, living near NASA but mostly watching it on TV like hundreds of millions of others. It’s ultimately both an exacting re-creation of this special moment in history and a kid’s fantasy about being plucked from his average life in suburbia to secretly train for a covert mission to the moon.
