Apple TV+ brings back its flagship original The Morning Show this September, joined by new comedy Still Up and fairytale drama The Changeling – while bidding farewell to the current seasons of The Afterparty and Foundation.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Apple TV+ UK in September 2023:
The Changeling: Season 1 – 8th September
The eight-part drama, based on the acclaimed bestselling book of the same name by Victor LaValle, is a fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed.
Written and adapted by showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marcel, with a pilot episode directed by Melina Matsoukas, the series is exec-produced by Stanfield, who also stars. He’s joined in front of the camera by Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson, and special guest star Malcolm Barrett.
The Morning Show: Season 3 – 13th September
The show picks up as the future of the UBA network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink when a tech titan takes an interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponised, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom. Along with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, the star-studded cast is led by Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm, Nicole Beharie and Julianna Margulies.
The Super Models – 20th September
Hailing from Imagine Documentaries and One Story Up and directed by Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams and Larissa Bills, the four-part series spotlights the remarkable careers of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington.
Still Up: Season 1 – 22nd September
Bonded by insomnia, best friends Lisa and Danny stay connected to each other late into the night and find their way through a world of wonderfully weird surprises as their relationship deepens. Starring Antonia Thomas (Small Axe, Lovesick) and Craig Roberts (Red Oaks, Submarine). Episodes 1 to 3 arrive together, followed by episodes weekly until the finale on 27th October.
Flora and Son – 29th September
Single mom Flora (Eve Hewson) is at a loss about what to do with her rebellious teenage son, Max (Orén Kinlan). Encouraged by the police to find Max a hobby, Flora tries to occupy him with a beat-up acoustic guitar. With the help of a washed-up LA musician (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Flora and Max discover the transformative power of music. From the musical mind of John Carney, “Flora and Son” explores the bond between a mother and son on a journey toward a new harmony.
