Apple TV+ brings back The Mosquito Coast and Mythic Quest this month, which are joined by a new thrilling from Zero Dark Thirty’s Mark Boal.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Apple TV+ UK in November 2022:
The Mosquito Coast: Season 2 – 4th November
Based on Paul Theroux’s best-selling novel, the thriller follows the dangerous journey of Allie Fox, a brilliant inventor and stubborn idealist, who uproots his family on a dangerous quest to find refuge from the U.S. government, cartels and hitmen. In Season 2, the Foxes venture deep into the Guatemalan jungle to meet up with an old friend and her community of refugees. This new refuge creates trouble for the Foxes though when they become entangled in a conflict between a local drug lord and his family. At odds about whether to settle down or keep moving, Allie and Margot pursue different paths to secure their family’s future. The outcome will either unite the family or tear it apart forever. Each of the 10 episodes arrive weekly until the finale on 6th January.
Causeway – 4th November
Directed by Lila Neugebauer, the film follows Lynsey, a military engineer who has returned to the USA from Afghanistan with a debilitating brain injury after an IED explosion. It’s a painful and slow recovery as she relearns to walk and retrains her memory, aided by a chatty but tender caretaker (Jayne Houdyshell). But when she returns home to New Orleans she has to face memories even more aching and formative than those she had in service — a reckoning with her childhood.
Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me – 4th November
As a recording artist, Gomez has sold more than 210 million singles worldwide and amassed over 45 billion global streams of her music. This year, she received a Grammy nomination for her first all-Spanish EP and an Emmy nomination for her role in the critically acclaimed series Only Murders in the Building, in which she stars opposite Steve Martin and Martin Short.
But just as her career and fame reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary frames her six-year journey in a new light.
Slumberkins: Season 1 – 4th November
Friends make it easier to express how you feel. Based on the leading children’s emotional learning books, explore a world of emotions with Bigfoot, Unicorn, Sloth, Yak and Fox.
Circuit Breakers: Season 1 – 11th November
This half-hour anthology series about middle-schoolers in the near future uses science fiction as a backdrop to tell universal stories about growing up.
Mythic Quest: Season 3 – 11th November
The workplace comedy created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz follows a group of video game developers tasked with building worlds, shaping heroes and creating legends, but the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game — they happen in the office.
Season 3 picks up as Ian and Poppy navigate the gaming world and their partnership at the newly formed GrimPop Studios. Back at Mythic Quest, David settles into his new role as the boss, with Jo returning as his assistant. Meanwhile, Dana is forced to play mediator to her bosses’ incessant bickering and Carol attempts to figure out where she fits in after a new promotion. The first two episodes arrive together, followed by new episodes weekly until the finale on 6th January.
