Apple is starting 2024 slowly, with only two titles ringing in the new year, but they’re big hitters, including a crime drama starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo and the equally star-studded Masters of the Air, the new series from the team behind Band of Brothers.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Apple TV+ UK in January 2024:

Criminal Record: Season 1 – 10th January

From Paul Rutman, the eight-episode drama follows two detectives in a tug of war over a historic murder conviction in contemporary London. An anonymous phone call draws the two into a confrontation over the old case – one a young woman in the early stages of her career, the other a well-connected man determined to protect his legacy
Peter Capaldi plays Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty and Cush Jumbo plays Detective Sergeant June Lenker. The series premieres on Apple TV+ on 10th January 2024, with the first two episodes arriving together and then new episodes dropping weekly until the finale on 21st February.

Killers of the Flower Moon – 12th January

Directed by Martin Scorsese and written for the screen by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese, based on David Grann’s bestselling book of the same name, Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins and Jillian Dion.

Masters of the Air: Season 1 – 26th January

Reuniting the team of Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman who also produced Band of Brothers and The Pacific, the action-packed drama follows the true story of an American bomber group in World War II. Based on Donald L Miller’s book of the same name, and scripted by John Orloff, the nine-part series follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the Bloody Hundredth) as they conduct perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air. Some were shot down and captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. The series stars Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook and Ncuti Gatwa. You can see them in action on 26th January 2024, with two episodes arriving together followed by weekly episodes on Fridays until the finale on 15th March.
