Apple TV+ has stepping up its streaming game this year, with a slew of new and returning originals in recent months. December slows things down ahead of The Tragedy of Macbeth arriving in January, but there’s another awards contender on the horizon, with Mahershala Ali starring in Swan Song – and there’s a double-bill of festive specials from Apple’s growing library of family titles.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Apple TV+ in December 2021:

Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues – 3rd December

Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues is a holiday special that will reveal the first and only performance of the singer’s new single, Fall in Love at Christmas. Mariah Carey is joined by Khalid and Kirk Franklin, as they bring the spirit of Christmas to fans around the world. She will also ring in the holidays with a new rendition of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). The special will feature an exclusive interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and Carey, along with her 10-year-old twins, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe, as they share favourite Christmas moments.

Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne – 10th December

After the Peanuts gang experience a disappointing Christmas because Grandma can’t visit, Lucy resolves to throw herself the best New Year’s Eve party ever, while Charlie Brown struggles to accomplish just one of his resolutions before the clock strikes twelve.

Swan Song – 17th December

Set in the near future, this dfilm tells the journey of Cameron (Mahershala Ali), a loving husband and father diagnosed with a terminal illness who is presented with an alternative solution by his doctor (Glenn Close) to shield his family from grief. As Cam grapples with whether or not to alter his family’s fate, he learns more about life and love than he ever imagined. Swan Song explores how far we will go, and how much we’re willing to sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people we love. Co-starring Awkwafina and Adam Beach, it is written and directed by Benjamin Cleary.
