Amazon Prime Video is getting 2019 to a quiet start, with only a handful of titles confirmed for January. Nonetheless, the online giant will be hoping one of those is big and loud enough to make a splash: The Grand Tour is revving up its engine for a third lap of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May doing silly things in cars. Film fans, meanwhile, will be pleased to see the arrival of Amazon Studios’ documentary Generation Wealth.

Uncle Drew – 6th January
NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving, Lil Rel Howery, Erica Ash and Tiffany Haddish star in this sports comedy, which follows Dax, who empties his life savings to enter a team in the Rucker Classic street ball tournament in Harlem, but loses his team to his longtime rival (Nick Kroll). Desperate to win the tournament and the cash prize, Dax stumbles upon the man, the myth, the legend Uncle Drew (Irving) and convinces him to return to the court one more time. The two men embark on a road trip to round up Drew’s old basketball squad (Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, and Lisa Leslie) and prove that a group of septuagenarians can still win the big one.
The Grand Tour: Season 3 – 18th January
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May return for a third lap of their Amazon motoring series, as they burn rubber in Colombia, Mongolia, China, Detroit and… Stansted Airport. Froman unusual snowy challenge in Sweden to playing the bagpipes in Scotland, the trio’s new outing promises more stunning cinematography, more testing of the world’s most impressive cars and more answering of the questions that no one is asking.
Just Add Magic: Season 3 – 31st January
Amazon’s live-action kids’ series, based on Cindy Callaghan’s book of the same name, returns for a third serving, as three friends – Kelly (Olivia Sanabia), Darbie (Abby Donnelly) and Hannah (Aubrey Miller) – continue to explore an old recipe book from Kelly’s grandma that turns out to be magic. Building on Season 2’s generation-spanning ambition, Season 3 sees the trio continue their decade-hopping adventures, with a new threat – known as The Night Bandit – causing them to go back to the 1800s and to 1975, as well as visit the future to meet grown-up versions of themselves.
