Hanna will return to Amazon Prime Video for the last time this month, and a new trailer gives us a full look at the show’s third and final season.
Season 3 of Hanna continues the journey of an extraordinary young woman, played by Esmé Creed-Miles, who was created by the sinister organisation Utrax and trained to be an assassin. Hanna is now secretly trying to destroy Utrax from the inside and free herself from its grasp with the help of her previous nemesis, former-CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos).
Together they have coerced high-ranking Utrax agent John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney) into aiding their mission but her fellow young assassins, Sandy (Áine Rose Daly) and Jules (Gianna Kiehl), and new foes, including former military man and intelligence operative, Gordon Evans (Ray Liotta), are starting to suspect Hanna’s plot. As Hanna moves closer to her goal, she begins to uncover not only a world-changing agenda but the true power behind Utrax that stands between her and freedom.
Hanna is written by David Farr (The Night Manager), who also serves as executive producer. The series is produced by NBCUniversal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group, Working Title Television and Amazon Studios. Tom Coan is Executive Producer for NBCUniversal International Studios, with Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements serving as Executive Producers, alongside Scott Nemes.
Season 3 premieres on 24th November. Here’s the trailer:

Hanna will be back on our screens this November, and a new trailer gives us a look at the third run of the thriller.
Season 3 continues the journey of the extraordinary young woman, played by Esmé Creed-Miles, who was created by the sinister organisation Utrax and trained to be an assassin. Hanna (Creed-Miles) is now secretly trying to destroy Utrax from the inside and free herself from its grasp with the help of her previous nemesis, former-CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos). As Hanna moves closer to her goal, she begins to uncover not only a world-changing agenda but the true power behind Utrax that stands between her and freedom.
Ray Liotta joins the cast for Season 3 as Gordon Evans, a respected former military man and intelligence operative who wields incredible insider power. Evans sees himself as a visionary with a rigid moral code, a true patriot who will do what needs to be done to protect his country.
Hanna is written by David Farr (The Night Manager), who also serves as executive producer, alongside Tom Coan.
Coan was on hand at New York Comic Con to unveil the trailer for Season 3, saying: “The journey is going to be bigger and better than before … everything lives at a much louder volume this year and it’s going to be exciting for audiences to see the next chapter of the story. We had two intentions in making this show—to be more sophisticated and dynamic—and that was the centerpiece on which everything was built … we operated on the principle of trying to make it as exciting as possible.”
All 6 episodes of Season 3 will debut on 24th November on Amazon Prime Video. Here’s the first teaser trailer:
Amazon renews Hanna for Season 3
14th July 2020
Amazon Studios has ordered a third season of Hanna.
The series, written and executive produced by David Farr (The Night Manager), is inspired by the Joe Wright film of the same name. It follows the journey of an extraordinary young woman, played by Esmé Creed-Miles, as she evades the relentless pursuit of a sinister government agency and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is.
Following her discovery at the end of Season 1, Hanna (Creed-Miles) knows she is not the only young woman with unparalleled skill and elite training to emerge out of the Utrax programme. In Season 2, she risks her freedom to rescue her friend Clara (Yasmin Monet Prince) from the clutches of the Utrax programme, run by John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney) and his second-in-command, Leo Garner (Anthony Welsh). With CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos) also in the mix, Hanna begins to question who she is and where she belongs.
“Amazon’s thriller comes of age with this gripping second season that outgrows the 2011 film,” we wrote in our review. “This chilling tale effortlessly fuses teen drama and sci-fi with espionage thrills, all set within a compelling, complex universe”
Season 2 premiered on 3rd July and now, within weeks of that debut, Amazon has already greenlit a third run. Season 3 will again be written by David Farr, who also serves as Executive Producer. Tom Coan will serve as Executive Producer for NBCUniversal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group. Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements will also serve as Executive Producers, alongside Scott Nemes.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to give Hanna a third season,” said David Farr. “When we set out on this journey, I had in my mind a drama that would excavate Hanna’s past, challenge her in entirely new ways and answer the question: can she ever belong? I am truly grateful to Amazon and NBCU that we are able to continue that vision. I am also deeply indebted to Esmé Creed-Miles and to Mireille Enos for their continuing commitment and enormous talent as we take Hanna and Marissa into new and unexplored terrain. It’s going to be an exciting third act.”
“David continues to deliver a series that’s elevated and action-packed, with twists you won’t see coming and characters you really care about,” added Vernon Sanders, Co-Head of Television, Amazon Studios. “We’re very excited to team with NBCUniversal to bring our Prime Video customers around the world another season of adventure with Hanna.”
