Amazon makes kids’ shows free to stream worldwide

Amazon has made a slew of kids’ TV shows available to stream for free worldwide during the coronavirus pandemic.
With schools, cinemas and pubs and restaurants closed, and with everyone instructed in the UK not to go outside apart for essential reasons, there are a growing number of households in need of entertainment, and Amazon is making a host of TV series available to help.
Normally part of an Amazon Prime subscription, which costs from £5.99 a month, the programmes include the popular hits Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, which will come as a relief to parents seeking streamed entertainment for their little ones. Amazon original series are also on offer for free, including the excellent Just Add Magic (for kids aged 6 and up), plus preschool shows If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Tumble Leaf, Wishenproof, the excellent The Stinky & Dirty Show!.
“A treat that viewers of all ages can savour,” we wrote in our review of Just Add Magic.
Niko and the Sword of Light and Gortimer Gibbons: Life on Normal Street, two of Amazon’s best original kids’ shows are also on the list.
“Stunning visuals and an enthusiastic cast create a kids’ adventure charmingly stuffed with imagination,” we wrote in our review of Niko.
Families will need a valid Amazon account to access the shows, but can then do so through the Amazon website or Amazon apps without needing to sign up for an account – just hit the button below to access the dedicated landing page for the free programmes.
