“There’s been some developments. We have some questions.” That’s the sound of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon reuniting for The Rip – and a trailer gives us a first look at the Netflix thriller.
The film is written and directed by Joe Carnahan (The Grey) and is produced by Artists Equity — the artist-led studio founded by Affleck and Damon. Affleck and Damon are producers, alongside Luciana Damon and Dani Bernfeld for Artists Equity, with Michael Joe and Kevin Halloran serving as exec-producers.
The film stars the duo as a pair of Miami cops who discover millions in cash in a derelict stash house. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, trust begins to fray and everything is called into question — including who they can rely on.
The film co-stars Teyana Taylor (A Thousand and One) and Sasha Calle (The Flash, On Swift Horses). You can see them in action on 16th January 2026, when the film premieres on Netflix.
