Kathryn Bigelow is heading to Netflix this October for A House of Dynamite.
The political thriller is an original film written by Noah Oppenheim, who tackled the White House earlier this year in the limited series Zero Day. When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond.
The thriller is directed by the Oscar-winning helmer of The Hurt Locker, who is no stranger to Netflix. She exec-produced Triple Frontier, directed by JC Chandor, and was previously set to direct Aurora, a sci-fi thriller that was ultimately scrapped by Netflix.
The cast of the film include Idris Elba (Beasts of No Nation, Luther), Rebecca Ferguson (Dune, Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent, Juror #2), Jared Harris (Chernobyl, Mad Men), Tracy Letts (The Post, Homeland), Anthony Ramos (In the Heights, Twisters), Jonah Hauer-King (World on Fire, The Tattooist of Auschwitz), Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit, The Tragedy of Macbeth), Greta Lee (Past Lives, Russian Doll), Jason Clarke (Oppenheimer, Zero Dark Thirty), Malachi Beasley, in his debut feature, Brian Tee (Reacher, Expats), Brittany O’Grady (It’s What’s Inside, The Consultant), Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Taking of Pelham 123, Edge of Darkness), Willa Fitzgerald (Pulse, Strange Darling), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Broadway’s Hamilton, Girls5eva), Kyle Allen (West Side Story, The Life List) and Kaitlyn Dever (Unbelievable, Apple Cider Vinegar)
A House of Dynamite premieres in cinemas in October, before landing on Netflix on 24th October.
