It’s been a long road to get back home for Danny Rand, aka. Iron Fist – and now, we have our first official trailer for Marvel’s new Netflix series to show exactly what that road will look like.
Rand, played by Finn Jones, is a billion who returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. In time, though, he learns to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist and fights against the criminal element corrupting his home with his kung-fu mastery.
The fourth superhero series in Netflix’s Hell’s Kitchen quartet, Iron Fist introduces us to the final member of The Defenders, with Rand joining Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil for a crossover event series.

The series stars Finn Jones as billionaire Danny Rand, who returns to New York City after being missing for years. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Or, to put it in other words, he’s really good at punching people. And, sure enough, this first proper look at him in action is full of some really good punching.
The video, which Netflix and Marvel unveiled at New York Comic Con this weekend, arrives as Marvel’s Head of TV also confirmed that Sigourney Weaver will play the villain in The Defenders, a crossover event series that will see our hero who’s really good at punching people team up with four other superheroes who are really good at punching people. You can read more on that here – or carry on scrolling for the trailer.
Netflix and Marvel also confirmed that Rosario Dawson will appear in Iron Fist, reprising her role of Claire “Night Nurse” Temple.
She joins a cast that includes Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Jessica Stroup (Joy Meachum), Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum) and David Wenham (Harold Meachum).

The show is the fourth of the Netflix’s epic live-action adventure series, joining Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage as the build up to the crossover event series The Defenders. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
You can see him in action for the first time here – in a pose that suggests he might rival even Luke Cage in the badass fighting stakes.
