What’s leaving Amazon Prime Video UK in March / April 2016?
James R | On 29, Mar 2016
After the removal of Spooks, the majority of Doctor Who and the first two seasons of Sherlock, Amazon Prime Video isn’t slowing down its departures any time soon: the following TV shows and films are set to disappear from the subscription line-up, as the calendar inevitably bids March farewell and ushers in April.
Superman – 30th March
Not a fan of Zack Snyder’s reboot of the Superman franchise? Go back to the primary colour appeal of Richard Donner’s original while you can.
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery – 31st March
From orange sherbert to Dr. Evil’s Number Two henchmen named Number Two, Mike Myers’ espionage spoof ticks every silly box with irresistable enthusiasm.
Grimm Season 3 – 31st March
After Season 1 and 2 left at the start of the month, Season 3 of Grimm is set to depart from Netflix UK too – so put Daredevil on hold, if you’re a fan of the Detective Nick Burkhardt.
Parks and Recreation: Season 3 – 31st March
Everyone’s favourite over-enthusiastic local official, Leslie Knope, continues to smile her way through bureaucracy in the third season of NBC’s delightful sitcom. Also, Chris Pratt.
Green Lantern – 3rd April
As Deadpool continues to swear his way through UK cinemas, relive Ryan Reynolds’ last superhero outing with Martin Campbell’s 2011 blockbuster.
Suits: Season 1 to 3 – 31st March
Still catching up with Mike’s (Patrick J. Adams) legal career? You’re running out of time…
Miss Congeniality – 30th March
Sandra Bullock is on winning form in this comedy about an FBI agent who goes undercover in the Miss United States beauty pagent.
The Town – 30th March
Who knew that Ben Affleck would one day prove to be a great director? Before Argo, The Town gave a massive clue. This intense crime drama sees Affleck play a thief who ends up in a relationship with the woman (Rebecca Hall) he robbed. The tension erupts in one of the best screen car chases in recent years.
Going the Distance – 30th March
Drew Barrymore and Justin Long play a couple trying to make their long-distance relationship work, following a casual fling in a bar. Geoff LaTulippe’s raunchy script delivers a deceptively mature tale of a relationship overcoming realistic obstacles, while Long and Barrymore’s chemistry feels equally genuine.
