YouTube now lets you see how much time you spend on YouTube

YouTube is now making it easier to see just how much time you spend YouTube.
How much of your life has been taken up by laughing at cat videos? YouTube is trying to help people monitor that in an effort to encourage wellbeing, sensible tech usage and the awareness to disconnect when needed.
Now, you can find all of YouTube’s new tools in one place, as part of your personal “time watched profile”. This profile is available in your account menu and tells you how long you’ve watched YouTube videos today, yesterday and over the past 7 days.
Once you know how much time you’re spending in the app, you may want to set a limit. Under your settings, you can now pick the amount of YouTube time that’s right for you – once you hit that limit, a friendly reminder will pop up on your screen.
If you want more control over when you receive notifications from YouTube, you can also bundle all of your YouTube push notifications into a single notification each day and set a specific time to receive your digest. YouTube has also added a sleep mode for notifications, so that they are all sent without sound or vibration between 10pm and 8am (or any other evening time period chosen in your settings).
