What devices is Disney+ UK available on?

Disney+ has finally launched, as the House of Mouse takes on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Sky in the battle for viewers’ remote controls.
Disney means business, with a low price point – £5.99 a month, or £59.99 a year – and a back catalogue its rivals can only dream of. More than 500 films, 350 series and a slate of 26 exclusive Disney+ Originals will all be available to stream on Disney+ UK when it launches, with a library that spans Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. That includes – after a last-minute deal with Sky – Seasons 1 to 30 of The Simpsons, with more than 600 episodes available for subscribers to enjoy. (Season 31 will be available to stream from November 2020.)

Blockbuster movies including Avengers: Endgame, and Oscar-winning documentaries such as Free Solo will be joined by classic Disney series such as Hannah Montana and original shorts including Forky Asks a Question.
But the key question, even more than content, is how to get Disney+ in the UK – because if it isn’t available on a wide enough number of devices, nobody will sign up. Fortunately, Disney is doing well there too, supporting mobile devices, web browsers, game consoles, set-top boxes, and smart TVs.
As well as web browsers, Disney+ is available on the following devices:
Mobile devices
Android phones and tablets
Apple iPhones and iPads
Amazon Fire Tablet
Smart TVs
LG WebOS Smart TVs
Samsung Tizen Smart TVs
Games consoles
Sony PlayStation 4
Xbox One
Streaming devices
Amazon Fire TV
Apple AirPlay
Apple TV (4th Generation and later)
Chromecast
Roku
Set top boxes
Disney+ is also supported on Sky Q devices, following a deal between Disney and Sky. This may not be an exclusive arrangement, however, with Virgin reportedly in talks with Disney.
Streaming devices
Disney+ is available on NOW boxes and sticks. It is not, however, available as a pass within the NOW streaming service: NOW device owners will need to purchase a Disney+ subscription directly through Disney then sign into their account through the app on their box or stick.
