Vikings Season 2 is invading LOVEFiLM Instant on Friday 28th February, the day after the US broadcast.

The epic Norse series, which stars Travis Fimmel as notorious warrior Ragnar Lothbrok, premiered in the UK exclusively on LOVEFiLM Instant in 2013. The second season will comprise of 10 episodes, with each available to stream the day after it broadcasts in the US in full high definition/

Fimmel is joined by retruning cast members Katheryn Winnick (Love and Other Drugs) and Clive Standen (Camelot). The season will see Ragnar use his position as Earl to continue to plunder, pillage and explore new kingdoms with his band of fearless followers.

Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy) also stars as Ragnar’s ally King Horrik. But the Viking leader’s newfound power comes at great cost – the betrayal of his vicious brother Rollo (Standen), the deterioration of his marriage to the fearless shield–maiden Lagertha (Winnick) and the scorn of his bold warrior son, Bjorn, played by Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games). The series was created – and is written once again – by Michael Hirst, the man who penned the movie Elizabeth and the Golden Globe-nominated series The Tudors.
