Liam Neeson is heading to Sky Cinema this March for Marlowe, and a new trailer gives us a look at the neo-noir thriller.
Directed by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, The Company of Wolves) and written by William Monahan (The Departed), the film is based on the novel The Black-Eyed Blonde by John Banville. Set in the elegant era of the late 1930s, it brings old Hollywood to life as private detective Phillip Marlowe (Neeson) is hired to find the ex-lover of a glamorous heiress (Diane Kruger). It looks an open and shut case, but Marlowe soon finds himself in the underbelly of Hollywood’s film industry and unwittingly drawn into the crossfire of a legendary Hollywood actress and her subversive, ambitious daughter.
Also starring in the film are Jessica Lange (King Kong, Feud), Adewale Akinnuoye- Agbaje (His Dark Materials), Danny Huston (American Horror Story), Alan Cumming (Goldeneye) and Colm Meaney (Gangs of London). You can see them in action on 17th March, when the film premieres in cinemas and on Sky Cinema and NOW. Here’s the trailer:
