Trailer: Travels with My Father Season 2 returns this September
James R | On 14, Sep 2018
Jack Whitehall returns to Netflix this September with his dad and tow – and a new trailer for their adventures give us a first look at their holidays up close.
Last year Jack and Michael embarked on a South East Asian odyssey, fulfilling Jack’s lifelong dream of a gap year, and against all the odds they both survived. This year they’re back on the road in Europe but now it’s Michael taking the lead – and he has very different ideas. It’s soon to be Michael’s birthday and he has one wish: for Jack to clear his busy schedule and join him on a tour across Europe. A chance for him to pass on his wisdom to his son, take in some culture, a few museums, learn a little history. Jack’s idea of travelling is more Boys on Tour than Grand Tour – hitting the clubs, downing the beers and hunting out some adrenaline sports. From the Bavarian Alps to Istanbul, who will get their way? If Michael had hoped that this trip would be an educational journey, he should have learned his lesson from last season.
Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father Season 2 launches on Netflix on Friday 28th September. Here’s the video:

First look: Jack Whitehall’s Travels with My Father returns for Season 2
13th August 2018
Jack Whitehall’s Travels with My Father returns for Season 2 this September, and a new image gives us our first look at the duo back on the globe-trotting trail.
Last year, Season 1 saw Jack and Michael embark on a South East Asian odyssey, fulfilling Jack’s lifelong dream of a gap year. Against all the odds, they both survived, and now, they’re heading to Europe, with Michael taking the lead – and he has very different ideas!
It’s soon to be Michael’s birthday and he has one wish: for Jack to clear his busy schedule and join him on a tour across the continent. A chance for him to pass on his wisdom to his son, take in some culture, a few museums, learn a little history – basically Jack’s worst nightmare. His idea of travelling is more Boys on Tour than Grand Tour – hitting the clubs, downing the beers and hunting out some adrenaline sports… and inevitably, Jack will get his way.
From the stunning ice capped mountains of the Bavarian Alps to the intoxicating mystery of Istanbul, Jack and Michael will find themselves running the gauntlet of beer bikes in Budapest and campervans across rustic corners of Romania; they’ll embrace kitsch Europop in Moldova, and try their best to evade gun-toting Cossacks and marching clowns in Ukraine. Judging by this new picture, though, they may not have succeeded at the last part.
Season 2 of Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father will premiere on Netflix on Friday 28th September. Season 1 is available now.

Netflix and Jack Whitehall are going travelling with the comedian’s father for a new original series.
The travelogue, cunningly titled Travels with My Father, is “based on the comedic viewpoints” of the Bad Education star, as he embarks on the trip of a lifetime with his father, Michael. The two set off on a journey across South East Asia to partake in a series of adventures, mishaps and escapades, with two very different perspectives.
Described by Whitehall as “the gap year I never had”, the series was ordered by the streaming giant earlier this year, marking the VOD service’s continuing investment in British talent: at the same time, Netflix announced that it is teaming up with the BBC for new series Troy and Black Earth Rising, while also reneing Lovesick for a third season.
Filming began on Travels with My Father in March, visiting Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Now, the show is almost ready to journey to our screens, with the series set to premiere on 22nd September. Whitehall announced the news on Twitter today, also unveiling a trailer, giving us a taste of what’s in store:
