Curzon Home Cinema will be releasing Parasite Black and White Edition this July, and a new trailer gives us a fresh look at the visually reworked version of Bong Joon-ho’s thriller.
The Kims are living a marginal life when their son fakes his way into becoming the English tutor for the ultra-wealthy Park family. Soon all four of the family members have roles in their hyper-stylish modern home, having used every dirty trick in the book. But the house hides secrets that are way outside the Kim’s scheme.
“Bong Joon-ho’s thrilling tale of families divided by class is impeccably mounted, deftly switching from one genre to another,” we wrote in our review of the film.
Winning 4 Oscars including Best Picture and already the most successful Palme d’Or winner ever, Parasite is what happens when the have-nots have their day. After its extraordinary awards success, the film has been transferred into lustrous monochrome, a process overseen by director Bong. The re-release follows similar releases of Mad Max: Fury Road Black and Chrome and Logan Noir, which both reworked the original films into black-and-white versions.
Parasite Black and White Edition will be released in Curzon cinemas and be available to stream on Curzon Home Cinema from 24th July. Here’s the video:
