The Grand Tour will officially return to Amazon Prime Video this December for a new special.

Amazon Studios announced back in 2018 that it had entered into a new deal with the former Top Gear trio, plus producer Andy Wilman, to develop brand new TV shows with them individually, but also to stop The Grand Tour in its conventional form. Instead, the studio tent and race track are being swapped for big adventure road trips instead, as the three menchildren head around the world for a series of four specials.

The first, Seamen, aired last Christmas. Now, Amazon has confirmed that it’s unwrapping the second just in time for this year’s festive season. Called The Massive Hunt, it will see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May journey through Madagascar in search of buried treasure.

The special will premiere online worldwide on 18th December. Here’s the trailer:
