Trailer: Amazon Prime Video unveils Val Kilmer documentary

Be prepared to learn everything you ever wanted to know about Val Kilmer but were afraid to ask with Amazon’s new documentary about the Top Gun and Batman Forever star.
Simple titled Val, the Amazon Studios original is produced by Kilmer, alongside directors Leo Scott and Ting Poo.
It presents to us one of Hollywood’s most mercurial and/or misunderstood actors, who has been documenting his own life and craft through film and video for more than 40 years. He has amassed thousands of hours of footage, from 16mm home movies made with his brothers to time spent on the big screen in iconic roles. The result is a “raw, wildly original and unflinching” documentary that reveals a life lived to extremes and a heart-filled, sometimes hilarious look at what it means to be an artist and a complex man.
If that doesn’t have your attention, the trailer soon will. It premieres on Amazon Prime Video in the USA on 6th August. Watch this space for a UK release date. Here’s the video:
