“I want a big life. I wanna break ever single rule there is.” That’s the sound of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel returning for a fifth and final season.
The series, which has delighted fans for the past six years, stars Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a 1958 New York City woman who has everything she’s ever wanted — the perfect husband, two kids and an elegant Upper West Side apartment perfect for hosting Yom Kippur dinner. But her perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and Midge discovers a previously unknown talent for stand-up comedy – one that changes her life forever.
Season 5 picks up as Midge finds herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away. After an epiphany in front of The Gordon Ford Show’s snowy billboard, Midge is ready to “ho forward” and fight for her ascent to stardom — equipped with her quick wit and sharp tongue, and nothing else to lose.
Season 5 will premiere on 14th April, with three episodes arriving together, followed by new episodes weekly. Here’s the new trailer:

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel to end with Season 5
19th February 2022
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel will return for one last curtain call, with the show set to end with its fifth season.
From creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, the series stars Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a 1958 New York City woman who has everything she’s ever wanted — the perfect husband, two kids and an elegant Upper West Side apartment perfect for hosting Yom Kippur dinner. But her perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and Midge discovers a previously unknown talent for stand-up comedy – one that changes her life forever.
It returned for Season 4 this weekend, with episodes arriving in double-bills weekly – and, no sooner than that fourth chapter has debuted, Amazon has confirmed that a fifth chapter has been greenlit, which will close the book on Mrs Maisel’s run. The series, which was the first Amazon Studios series to earn a multi-season green light, has won 20 Emmy awards over its first three seasons, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
“Amy, Dan, and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel have blazed an unparalleled path, elevating the stories we tell about women, challenging the norms in our industry, and forever altering the entertainment landscape with their one-of-a-kind storytelling,” said Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios.
“The dozens of awards cement Maisel’s legacy in many ways, but what’s even more enduring and poignant are the characters Amy created and the joyous, brilliant, singular world she and Dan brought to life. This series has meant so much to Prime Video and the effects of its success will be felt long after its final season. I can’t wait for fans and our worldwide Prime Video audience to savour each moment as we embark on the culmination of this groundbreaking and unforgettable series.”
