The Leftovers will be available to watch online in the UK from 10th September.
HBO’s sci-fi show from Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof will premiere on Sky Atlantic on Tuesday 16th September – and, for non-subscribers, will be available to stream online on NOW. (Sky’s VOD service allows people to watch Sky’s TV channels live online and also catch-up on-demand for £6.99 per month, without a contract.)
While linear viewers will have to wait until the 16th, though, Sky On Demand customers and NOW users will be able to see the whole of the opening episode in advance – from Wednesday 10th September.
The series follows Justin Theroux, Christopher Eccleston and Liv Tyler as they struggle to understand what happened three years ago, when 2 per cent of the world’s population mysteriously disappeared.
From the names involved behind the camera to the use of Simon and Garfunkel in the show’s original trailer, The Leftovers is shaping up to be one of autumn 2014’s more intriguing television offerings.
