The Horror Show VOD service launches this Thursday

Here at VODzilla.co, we’re always going on about the exciting world of video on-demand, where things are constantly changing. As if to prove us right, hot on the heels of our own launch comes a brand new VOD service: The Horror Show.
Three guesses what they specialise in.
The VOD site describes itself as the only on-demand destination “created for and curated by horror fans”. That’s because it is – with horror nerds such as Scott Weinberg (follow him on Twitter, folks) picking the titles, they’ve got a catalogue that ranges from Night of the Living Dead to Jessica Biel’s The Tall Man and The Human Centipede films. And that’s just their starting line-up.
The site officially launches on Friday 14th June – the morning after an event at London’s Prince Charles Cinema. The evening will include a rare 35mm screening of Donald Cammell’s White of the Eye, selected and introduced by Empire magazine’s legend (and all-round horror guru) Kim Newman, a screening of short film Him Indoors (starring The League of Gentlemen’s Reece Shearsmith) with a Q+A with director Paul Davis, and some horror-themed stand-up comedy from Richard Sandling.
100 tickets to the event have been released for £15 each and are available here. It kicks off at 7pm.
The actual site itself will charge Blockbuster’s good old VHS standard of £3.49 per rental. We’ll have a review of their VOD service shortly.
We’re excited about this one.
