Trailer: The Good Fight returns for Season 3 this March

The Good Fight is back for Season 3 this March, as we finally have a confirmed UK air date for the show’s return.
A spin-off from The Good Wife, CBS’ legal drama sees Christine Baranski reprise her role as Diane Lockhart, who is forced out of Lockhart & Lee after a financial scam destroys her savings, leading her and Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie) to join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago’s pre-eminent law firms, led by Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo).
There, the pair meet familiar faces, including Colin Morrello, who is a rising star in the state’s attorney’s office, and Marissa Gold. The series was the show that launched CBS’s own subscription platform, CBS All Access, with More4 snapping up the UK TV rights. Before Season 2 had even finished airing in the UK, though, CBS announced a third run had been green-lit.
Season 3 will see the return of Diane, as she continues to resist a crazy administration alongside Boseman, navigating a new system of law that favours well-told stories over hard facts. A storm brews at the firm when revelations of past misdeeds involving a partner come to light. Just as she thought the world couldn’t get any crazier, an incident at home pushes Diane to breaking point. Meanwhile, Lucca is brought a new opportunity and Marissa teaches Maia to toughen up.
Season 3 has the added excitement of Michael Sheen joining the cast. He will appear during the season as Roland Blum, a charismatic, Machiavellian lawyer, who is “a man of appetites – drugs, sex, you name it – who’s far more interested in winning than the niceties of following the law”. He will go head to head with Maia.
Season 3 premieres at 9pm on Thursday 28th March on More4, with episodes airing weekly and available to catch up on-demand on All 4 for 30 days after broadcast.

The Good Fight renewed for Season 3
3rd May 2018
CBS All Access has renewed The Good Fight for a third season.
The legal drama, which is a spin-off from The Good Wife, sees Christine Baranski reprise her role as Diane Lockhart, who is forced out of Lockhart & Lee after a financial scam destroys her savings, leading her and Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie) to join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago’s pre-eminent law firms, led by Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo).

The series was the show that launched CBS’s own subscription platform, CBS All Access, with More4 snapping up the UK TV rights. Now, as Season 2 airs on More4, with new episodes available to catch up with on All 4 every week, CBS has announced that it has already green-lit a third season.
“The Good Fight is a perfect example of what we strive for a CBS All Access Original Series to be: thought-provoking, boundary-pushing, and, most of all, incredibly entertaining,” says Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President, Original Content, CBS All Access. “We can’t wait to see what Robert and Michelle King, their creative team and the incomparable cast will bring to audiences in Season 3.”
It joins a growing slate of CBS originals on its platform, including its first comedy series, No Activity, upcoming drama Strange Angel, and, of course, Star Trek: Discovery, which airs on Netflix in the UK.
“Expanded characters, a cracking (and diverse) cast and timely plotting. In an age of post-truth, this is a winning drama about people fighting to keep the line between right and wrong clear,” we wrote in our review of The Good Fight’s first season. “Once you’ve binged through all 10 parts, you’ll be desperate to sue anyone so you can watch one more episode.”
Season 1 of The Good Fight is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, with episodes of Season 2 also available to buy and rent from Amazon, following their departure from All 4.
The Good Fight will premiere on More4 in the UK
6th March 2017
The Good Wife’s spin-off has finally found a UK home: More4.
Channel 4 has acquired from CBS Studios International the exclusive British broadcast rights to the original series. The series, which premieres on CBS’ streaming service, CBS All Access, in the USA, will debut on More4 this spring.
From The Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King, The Good Fight picks up one year after the events of the original show’s final episode. An enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia (Rose Leslie – Game of Thrones), while simultaneously wiping out her mentor Diane Lockhart’s (Christine Baranski – The Good Wife) savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo – The Good Wife) at one of Chicago’s pre-eminent law firms.
Stephen Tague, SVP Europe, CBS Studios International says: “This is the first original series from our digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, CBS All Access, a platform that provides us with yet another opportunity to license our world-class, premium programming to the international marketplace. The Good Wife has been a ratings success for More4, so we are pleased for loyal fans of the series that the spin-off has found its UK home here.”
Robert and Michelle King serve as showrunners and executive producers of The Good Fight. Phil Alden Robinson co-wrote and executive produced the premiere episode with the Kings. Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy and Alison Cross also serve as executive producers. Kennedy directed the premiere episode. The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions. The series is distributed worldwide by CBS Studios International.
