The first trailer for Orange Is the New Black Season 4 has arrived – and boy, it is intense.
“Do you know the difference between pain and suffering?” asks Pennsatucky. “Pain is always there, but suffering is a choice.”
Those words look set to come true in the coming fourth run, judging by these action-packed couple of minutes, as Jenji Kohan’s prison drama turns up the tension. There are new inmates, new guards and new desk jobs (if you’re Taystee) on the cards – and with only a limited amount of space in Litchfield, it’s about to get crowded. No wonder Piper says she feels unsafe.
“The newest season of Orange delves into the racial and economic tensions that run rampant in the halls of Litchfield,” says Netflix’s official synopsis for Season 4. “Overrun with new inmates and overseen by inexperienced guards, the prison undergoes an unprecedented culture war.”
Who will fight, and who will fall? You’ll have to wait 38 days to find out. Not that we’re counting.
