Teen Wolf TV series lands on Netflix UK

Teen Wolf the TV series has landed on Netflix UK.
MTV’s show first aired back in 2011 in the US and had its debut in the UK on Sky Living. While the series has gone to be renewed for six seasons, it has failed to (ahem) sink its teeth into UK audiences, with Sky ultimately dropping the show after a couple of seasons.
Season 3 of the programme went straight to pay-per-view VOD in the UK, before Channel 5 stepped in to buy the rights for the show, with Season 2 of Teen Wolf airing on 5*from March 2016. Now, however, Netflix UK has caught up and released the first seasons for subscription-based streaming. The deal with MTV follows an agreement with the channel’s other popular movie spin-off series, Scream, which will return exclusively to Netflix UK at the end of May 2016 for its second run – with episodes of that horror show arriving on British streaming soil the day after their US broadcast.
What is this Teen Wolf, you ask? Based on the 1985 film, which starred Michael J. Fox, it sees Tyler Posey play a teenage boy called Scott, who is bitten by a werewolf, only for him to suddenly become a star athlete and chick magnet – but, of course, he also faces a new set of much hairier problems…
Developed by Jeff Davis, the show also stars Crystal Reed and Dylan O’Brien.

Teen Wolf: Season 1 and 2 are available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.
