StyleHaul has created a new series of short films for All 4.
YouTube’s largest fashion, beauty and lifestyle network was commissioned by Channel 4 to msix documentary shorts for the broadcaster’s recently relaunched VOD platform. Titled “Internet Famous”, the series – co-produced with Spirit Digital Media – provides a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be a YouTube celebrity.
The shorts follow some of StyleHaul’s biggest creators, with insight into the hard work and dedication it takes to turn a vlogging hobby into a lucrative career. Fleur De Force, for example, is seen travelling to a conference in Geneva, but is also comfortable enough sharing her personal life online that she broadcast her wedding on YouTube.
Talk Becky Talk, on the other hand, was a BBC journalist who quit her broadcast cater to amass over 150,000 subscribers on YouTube. She explains the decision and how she has since teamed up with her mum and sister, Holly Sheeran.
“This partnership with Channel 4 continues to demonstrate that StyleHaul creates best in class content for multiple platforms, whether it’s a YouTube campaign with content across seven social platforms, or Internet Famous,” said James Stafford, European VP at StyleHaul, in a statement to the press.
“This series highlights the positive impact these [creators] are also having on their communities, from working with charities, to tackling harder hitting topics on their channels, such as body image, homophobia and mental illness.”
All six episodes are available on All 4 now.
