Chris Hemsworth made his CBeebies debut tonight, telling the story of a little bear who is frightened of the rain and thunder.

The Australian actor, who has been promoting Thor: Love and Thunder ready for its cinema release, has added the popular star reading nook to his PR tour, taking on the mighty task of reading Stormy Night by Salina Yoon for young viewers.

Chris said: “I love nothing more than reading bedtime stories to my children and it was a joy to get to read Stormy Night, a story about a little bear who is scared of storms. Even though I know a thing or two about thunder and lightning, I always feel better when the storm passes.”

Chris’ appearance on the nightly slot was teased by @CBeebiesHQ on social media with a silhouetted figure and the caption “You asked. We delivered. Can you guess who?”

Other recent CBeebies Bedtime Stories readers have included Harry Styles, Arlo Parks, Tom Hiddleston, Ellie Goulding, Dave Grohl, Steve Carell and Rose Ayling-Ellis, who signed her story in British Sign Language.
