STARZPLAY arrives on Apple TV

STARZPLAY is now available on the Apple TV app.
The international subscription streaming service was launched by Starz almost exactly one year ago, bringing together a range of STARZ and Lionsgate content in one place. That includes shows such as Counterpart and Gregg Araki’s Now Apocalypse, as well as movies such as The Hunger Games and Sicario.
Up until now, the platform has been available on Virgin Media and Amazon Prime Video Channels, costing £4.99 a month as an add-on subscription. Now, it’s extending its reach wider with a launch on Apple TV across the UK and other countries. Its arrival on Apple’s video platform comes as the online giant plans to launch its own subscription service, and as STARZPLAY continues to add an increasing number of high-profile original titles.
Future STARZ Original series available exclusively on STARZPLAY on the same day as their US broadcast include The Spanish Princess (with episodes dropping weekly on Sundays) and the second season of award-winning series Vida, starring Melissa Barrera and Mishel Prada, which debuted this weekend. These will be followed in June by the premiere of the supernatural spy thriller The Rook, starring Emma Greenwell, Joely Richardson and Olivia Munn, on 30th June, and, on 14th July, the second season of Sweetbitter.
Subscribers to the STARZPLAY channel in the Apple TV app can watch online or enjoy offline downloads of each show and movie.
