Stardust: David Bowie biopic arrives online this month

David Bowie biopic Stardust arrives online this month, and a new trailer gives us a look at Johnny Flynn in character as the music icon.
The Emma and Beast star will step into Bowie’s shoes for the unofficial film, which looks to explore the young man behind the artist’s many faces. Directed by Gabriel Range, and written by Christopher Bell and Range, the film introduces us to Bowie as a 24-year-old on his first road trip to America in 1971. Travelling with Mercury Records publicist Ron Oberman, he meets with a world not yet ready for him. Stardust aims to offer a glimpse behind the curtain of the moments that inspired the creation of Bowie’s first alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust.
The film opened the 2020 Raindance Film Festival, and streamed online as part of the event, with Flynn going on to win the festival’s Best Actor prize for his performance. Now, it’s getting a full digital release, with the movie available online from 15th January. Here’s the trailer:
