Sky One has already renewed new comedy Intelligence for a second season before the first has even aired.
ThQ comedy created by and starring Nick Mohammed, alongside David Schwimmer, is set in the UK’s GCHQ – a kind of weedier, geekier version of MI5, where they tackle international and domestic cyber-crime from a desktop.
When an arrogant, maverick NSA agent Jerry (David Schwimmer) comes over from the US to join the team, he enlists an inept and tactless computer analyst Joseph (Nick Mohammed) in a power grab that threatens to disrupt the team’s ability to combat cyber terrorism.
Season 1 premieres on 21st February, but before then, Sky has already ordered a sophomore run, with both Nick Mohammed and David Schwimmer returning to reprise their roles.
Mohammed said: “I couldn’t be more delighted about setting off alarm bells inside GCHQ all over again”
Schwimmer said: “I am thrilled to continue to pretend to be important to National Security.”
Intelligence 2 was commissioned by Jon Mountague, Sky Studios’ Director of Comedy and Zai Bennett, Sky’s Managing Director of Content. The series is written by Nick Mohammed and produced by Expectation.
