First trailer for Sky’s Curfew races online
David Farnor | On 08, Oct 2018
“I’m gonna risk everything I have to get out of this country.” That’s the sound of Adrian Lester going all Death Race with Sky One’s new racing thriller, Curfew.
The series screeches onto Sky One next year, bringing with it a seriously star-studded cast, from Sean Bean (Game of Thrones) and Phoebe Fox (Blue Iguana) to Malachi Kirby (Roots), Billy Zane (Titanic) and Miranda Richardson (Churchill). The Sky original production follows the story of ordinary people and extraordinary characters competing in the world’s fastest, most furious illegal night-time street race.
The eight-part series from Tiger Aspect Productions is written and executive produced by Matthew Read (Pusher). And judging by the first trailer for the show, it’s as bonkers and mayhem-packed as you’d expect from a show featuring Billy Zane as a gonzo cowboy and member of a viral video performance art troupe.
Here’s the impressively high-octane video:
Adam Brody joins Sky One’s Curfew
29th August 2018
Adam Brody is the latest big name to join the line-up for Sky One’s street racing drama Curfew.
The Sky original production follows the story of ordinary people and extraordinary characters competing in the world’s fastest, most furious illegal night-time street race. Those characters include a whole host of familiar and impressive faces, from Sean Bean (Game of Thrones) and Adrian Lester (Riviera) to Phoebe Fox (Blue Iguana), Malachi Kirby (Roots), Billy Zane (Titanic) and Miranda Richardson (Churchill).
Now, Brody has accelerated onto the starting grid. The OC star, who has enjoyed a more prominent return to the screen in recent years with fin-tech drama StartUp, will play Max Larssen, a mysterious, megalomaniac millionaire.
Brody says: “The Curfew scripts came my way and I couldn’t stop reading; I loved the outsized personality it had. It’s bleak, hopeful, violent, funny and tender all at the same time. It’s a joy to work with such a talented group of performers and downright lovely human beings. Max Larssen is unlike any character I’ve played and it was a thrill to try to access such an intelligent and remote individual.”
The eight-part series from Tiger Aspect Productions is written and executive produced by Matthew Read (Pusher). The series is executive produced for Tiger Aspect Productions by Will Gould and Frith Tiplady in association with their new independent production company Moonage Pictures. It is directed by Colm McCarthy (The Girl with All the Gifts, Peaky Blinders) and is produced by Simon Maloney (Peaky Blinders). It will premiere on Sky One and NOW in 2019.

Now, it’s stepping its star power up a gear, with Titanic star Zane, Churchill’s Richardson, The Crown’s Walter and Aliens and The Terminator veteran Biehn joining the cast.
Curfew is written and executive produced by Matthew Read (Pusher, Hammer of the Gods). The series is executive produced for Tiger Aspect Productions by Will Gould and Frith Tiplady in association with their new independent production company Moonage Pictures.
